67 Counts Of Sexual Acts Involving Children: 22-Year-Old Man Charged In Westchester

A Westchester man has been charged with more than 60 counts of sexual activity involving children, as well as creating and possessing child pornography for several years, officials said.

New Rochelle resident Jason Ricketts, age 22, was indicted by a grand jury and arraigned in court on Thursday, July 6 on 67 counts of physical sexual acts involving children, in addition to charges related to his possession and creation of child pornography, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.

According to officials, in addition to his alleged sexual conduct with children, Ricketts also created and possessed photos and videos of children engaging in sexual acts between 2019 and 2023.

An investigation into Ricketts was conducted by the DA's Office after they received a referral from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

As a result of this investigation, Ricketts was arrested by the District Attorney's Office on Thursday, Feb. 2, and is still in custody at the Westchester County Jail.

He is charged with:

Two felony counts of predatory sexual assault against a child;
Two felony counts of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child;
12 felony counts of use of a child in a sexual performance;
Seven felony counts of second-degree criminal sexual act;
Six felony counts of second-degree unlawful surveillance;
Six felony counts of third-degree criminal sexual act;
34 felony counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child;
Sexual misconduct.

Westchester District Attorney Miriam Rocah said that her office would support more victims as they come forward.

"The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office is committed to working with our partners to bring to justice anyone who exploits, abuses or endangers our children through sexual contact or over the internet," she said, adding, "We will continue to engage with families to help arm them with tools to protect our children and offer support for victims who come forward.”
